Title: Using brain-behavior modeling to elucidate mechanisms
Speaker: Sarah Yip (Yale University)
Location: In Person & Online via Zoom
Abstract: Dr. Yip will present prior and ongoing work from her lab using brain-behavior predictive modeling to identify brain mechanisms of addiction risk and recovery. This will include data demonstrating dissociable brain mechanisms that support abstinence from different drugs of abuse in adults, as well as developmental work identifying predictive neuromarkers of risk behaviors in youth. Finally, she will briefly introduce a new predictive modeling pipeline developed by her lab and discuss recommendations for using brain-behavior modeling to identify clinically relevant mechanisms.
